Terms and Conditions

Effective October 24, 2026. These terms cover your use of True Frame Builders, which Strategic Mind runs: online estimates and quotes, your final quote, who you contract with for the work, your payment schedule, your account, and how disputes are settled.

Your Estimate, Quotes, and Final Quote

  • Your estimate prices one part of your project from your answers. It uses the prices dated on its page and shows a price variance for each assessment that can change the price.
  • Your quote adds up the estimates you save. It lists each item on its own line and each price variance under the total. It is a budget for planning, not an offer to do the work.
  • Your updated quote comes after your home visit when your work needs a permit. Your contractor prices what the visit found and notes what the City's permit review can still change. It is a budget for planning, not an offer to do the work.
  • Your final quote is your contractor's written offer. After your home visit, or after the City issues your permit when your work needs one, your contractor emails your final quote. It states your confirmed scope and price, with what each assessment found priced in, each item on its own line, and the date its price holds until.
  • Your final quote sets your price for the work it lists. It also lists the few hidden finds most likely in your work, such as mould inside a wall or a major foundation crack, each with its price range. Your price changes only through a written change order you sign before that work starts, for any find the work uncovers, listed or not, and for any change you ask for.

Who Does Your Work

  • Your contract is with your contractor. The True Frame Builders contractor who serves your area visits your home, writes your final quote, and does the work. Your quote names that contractor, and you sign your contract with it. Strategic Mind is not a party to that contract.
  • Your contractor is responsible for the work, including its workers, permits, warranty, and the payments you make to it. Every contractor meets our standards before joining.

Payment Schedules

Your final quote's total before HST sets your payment schedule. You pay a deposit when you sign your contract, then each payment when the step it names is done. Your quote lists each payment, and your contract lists each one in dollars.

Your Account

  • You sign in with a link we email you. Each link works once and expires 15 minutes after it is sent. Anyone who can open your email can sign in, so keep your email account secure.
  • Give accurate details. Your contractor prepares for your home visit from the address and project details you enter.

Using This Website

  • AI-generated images on this website are illustrations. Project photos on a contractor's page are real photos of that contractor's work.
  • Keep the website working for everyone. Do not send false bookings, automated requests, or anything that disrupts the website.

Privacy, Law and Disputes

  • Your personal information is handled under Canada's PIPEDA privacy law. See Privacy Policy.
  • Ontario law governs these terms, along with the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002.
  • Disputes go through 3 steps. You first raise the dispute with us in writing, and we try to settle it directly within 30 days. If that fails, either side may send it to mediation in Toronto, with the mediator's fee split equally. If mediation does not settle it within 60 days, the courts of Ontario sitting in Toronto decide it.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page is the date of the latest change. A change never alters a quote or contract you have already received.
